Introducing: The Content Marketing Hub, A Free Library of Content Resources

I’m super excited to announce the completely updated Content Marketing Hub.

We launched the first version of Content Marketing Hub last year.

Since then, we’ve made hundreds of edits, additions, improvements and updates.

This new resource 30+ covers pretty much everything you need to know about content marketing all in one place… including content promotion, copywriting, blog design, content repurposing, and more.

You can check out the new Content Marketing Hub 2.0 right here:

Visit The Content Marketing Hub

This new resource library contains 62,438 words, 580 screenshots, as well as 100+ professionally designed illustrations, visuals, charts and templates.

Backlinko – Content Marketing Hub 2.0

I’m super happy with how Content Marketing Hub 2.0 turned out.

And I hope you get a ton of value from it.

Check out The Content Marketing Hub 2.0.

Here’s What’s Included

The Content Marketing Hub is broken down into 6 main categories:

  • Content Marketing Fundamentals: Here’s where you’ll learn (or get a refresher) on the foundational elements of content marketing. You’ll learn how to develop a content strategy, the different types of content marketing you can use, and how to come up with topic ideas.
  • Content Production: Learn how to produce content that people will want to read, link to and share. You’ll learn how to write compelling copy, develop a content calendar, design your content, and use repurpose content for more traffic.
  • Blogging and Written Content: Here’s where you’ll learn how to publish blog posts that get results. In this section I cover how to create 10x content, listicles and posts that focus on content curation.
  • Multimedia Content: Podcasts. Videos. Visuals. They’re all important (and growing) parts of content marketing. You’ll learn how to create the type of multimedia content that your audience wants to consume.
  • Content Promotion and Distribution: Learn how to spread the word about the content that you publish using email outreach, social media, blog SEO and more.
  • Content Marketing Tools: Here’s where you’ll learn how to use some of the most popular content marketing tools on the market, like HootSuite, Google Analytics and Buffer.

I’d love to hear what you think about the new Content Marketing Hub 2.0.

Specifically, I’d like to know:

What’s the #1 thing you want to learn about content marketing right now?

Also, I plan on adding even more helpful resources to the library soon.

So let me know if you have any topic ideas or suggestions.

Thanks so much for creating all this valuable content. I’m just starting out, but appreciate your advice on adding references and links to the sources of blog content. It’s very helpful to me because I struggle to make my content very streamlined and ‘readable.’

        1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

No worries, Mary. Happy to help.

      1. Yes. Why don’t you promote all your hubs on your home page or any where which users can find easily ? Is there any reason?

        1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

The goal of my homepage is to make it easy to sign up for my email list. Which is why I don’t have a lot of links etc on that page.

      1. Hi Brian ,
thank you for the great value that you have provided to us
Do you plan to create any hub related to building a great community around your brand?
        Thank you!

    1. Hi Brian,

Will this go into Semantic keywords and mapping searcher intent?

  11. Henry Vera Avatar Henry Verasays:

For me, content = connecting, and as a result, connections.

Thank you Brian and team for creating “Content Marketing Hub 2.0”.

When I saw that graphic for the main page, I know I had to click (but leave a comment here first before I did).

    Thanks again!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Hi Henry, thank you. I hope you enjoy the content marketing hub as much as the graphic 🙂

  12. Hi Brian, awesome resource. Does the /hub/ url structure represent pillar content? Also, does the pillar content work better for you (SEO/traffic perspective) than a power page (all content on one page)? Thanks!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Hi Abi, I usually prefer Power Pages. But there are cases where a series of medium-sized posts (like this) work best. Especially when they’re launched at once.

  13. Sohel Rana Avatar Sohel Ranasays:

This is the guy who knows how to make his audiences to click the link he sends into their inbox. And the other side (audiences) also waits for his email as we know Brain will share something interesting and helpful…Thank you for helping us.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      👍👍👍

  14. Holger Avatar Holgersays:

Congratulations Brian. By far the best of its kind!!!

If you don‘t mind I would like to ask you why your hubs are not linked directly from your homepage or in the navigation bars?

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Holger. Good question. The goal of my homepage and nav is to funnel people to key landing pages (specifically, pages where visitors can sign up for my email list).

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thank you.

  15. Brian this great man. Thanks for sharing.

Only topic I think you didn’t cover was AI + Machine learning for Content Marketing. There are handful of tools out there for content creation, and on the SEO side for tracking changes that might make sense.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Marcio. And great suggestion there. That’s a growing space for sure.

  16. This is a gold mine Brian. I’m just doing your SEO That Works and honestly when I put 2 and 2 together. What would really enhance your guides and teaching would be SEO Copywriting.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thanks Novnish.

  17. Hey Brian,
    super update!
I’m curious – your hub pages are loading super fast 🙂 I’m not seeing any network activity loading html pages when I click between pages in the hub – are you preloading pages 2,3…n on the initial page load?
    Colm

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Colm. Yes, exactly. That’s why they load so quickly.

      1. Nice one – it’s working great 🙂

  18. This is phenomenal. I can share it with my team now to stay up to date. Thanks for making and sharing it!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      You’re welcome, Danilo.

  19. Wow. This is awesome info. Thanks, Brian. I have been looking for a resource like this.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      No worries, Peter.

  20. Hi Brian, Thank you for creating this. Excited to dig in and start learning

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

You’re welcome, Virginia. Hope you get a ton of value from the new version.

  21. I am super excited to read this.

Can you please put some light on this new gpt-3 based ai copywriting tools.

How those tools can help our content game?

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Sureshh. I’m still playing around with those tools now. So far, they’re interesting but not consistent.

      1. Sureshh Avatar Sureshhsays:

Even I am testing those tools but the experience is not that great.

        Let’s see.

  22. Your content is already an inspiration to me for producing long-form content.

I did not read version 1 but am definitely taking out next Sunday to learn from this humongous content marketing material.

Thank you for providing us with such in-depth content marketing material and appreciate your work.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Hi Avinash, you’re welcome. Enjoy it.

  23. I just received your mail…

    Hey,
So, I launched the first version of the Content Marketing Hub almost two years ago.

And I was like wtf, I have missed something.

    Great knowledge share Brian. 🙂

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      👍👍👍

  24. Amazingly complete Brian. 10X content for sure!

The only thing that I did not see being addressed is a discussion about the use of AI writing assistant software to accelerate the article research and article writing process. I know there is a lot of negative feedback about AI writing tools…mostly due to unattainable expectations of having your computer take a keyword and write 10X quality content with no human interaction. But there are some pretty impressive tools…especially for accelerating the research phase of writing articles…that can certainly aid even an expert writer to generate a ton more finished content per day. What are your thoughts about the state of AI writing assistants today?

Adding a section talking about integrating AI writing tools into the content creation process might be a very useful addition to an already amazing piece!!!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Steve. Good suggestion there. I’ve tried out a few AI tools. And it was a mixed bag. I see the potential. But in my opinion, the tech isn’t there yet.

  25. Brian, this is epic!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thank you.

  26. Your writings are ALWAYS a Big reference on SEO to me

    Thanks Brian

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Hi Yogesh, no worries. We just launched GYBF last month. We will likely open STW in early 2022.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

You’re right Vladimir: it’s massive. Enjoy.

  29. Love this post, Brian, I’ll definitely be saving it for later use too!

  37. I already like the first version of the Hub and now knowing that it’s updated is awesome! I’ve already read through the video content part and there are some nice tips and tricks in there. Thanks Brain!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Awesome Steffen 👍👍👍

  38. Thank you for that Content Marketing Hub. This is a great resource for someone who struggles to create good content.

Happy to help, Niels. For sure: it’s one stop shopping for content marketing strategies, techniques and more.

  39. Brandon Avatar Brandonsays:

Hey Brian! 👋 Love all the hubs on Backlinko.

Do you have a PDF or eBook version of these? I have a long flight coming up and I’d love to print these out so I can read them on the plane.

Keep up the great work! 😊

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Thanks Brandon. We actually don’t have a PDF version available. But I’ll look into that.

  40. Thanks too much Brian!
Your blog help me more than twenty SEO & Marketing courses I paid on Udemy.
I have a new audience question: is there any deep article about Site Content Structure for SEO? I see some guys tell about Pillar Pages, Silos, Cluster.. but I really wanna know your ideas about it.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

You’re welcome, Dang. Site structure is important. But not really for page clusters etc. (I haven’t really seen that work). More to make sure Google can find and index all of your pages.

  41. Congrats on the new version, Brian. Bookmarked for future read 😀

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thanks Ken

  42. Tim Avatar Timsays:

Why is there no dates on comments and blog posts? I’m assuming you feel that ‘Google’ trumps user experience? Trust me, when a visitor comes to your site they want to know how old the content and comments are that they are reading.

  43. Hi Brian, I am new to blogging and this is my first time on your site and I am just blown away by all the things that your Content Marketing Hub offers. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the training and I can’t believe that it’s all free! Thanks so much!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      You’re welcome, Tesimi.

  44. Jason Avatar Jasonsays:

Hi. Congrats on a blazing fast website. Can I ask is it still using NextJS hosted on Netlify?

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thanks Jason. Yes I am.

  45. Love it brother! A quick and efficient way for people to go and access some solid learning resources. Great job as always!

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

      Thanks Jon!

  46. Fantastic resource, Brian, so thanks for compiling it. I’ve bookmarked it so I can dip in and out of it when needs be, particularly the lead magnets section. I still haven’t figured out what my lead magnet will be. Niche is travel.

    1. Brian Dean Avatar Brian Deansays:

Sounds good, Hazel. Maybe a lead magnet on finding cheap flights, hotels, destinations etc.

  47. Hey Brian, What do you suggest on content generator tools which are managed by AI ?

  48. I liked the first version of the Hub, and knowing that it has been upgraded is fantastic! I’ve already looked through the video content section and found some useful tips and methods. Many thanks, Brain!
