SEOquake Troubleshooting
This guide covers common SEOquake issues and how to fix them.
1. Enabling or Disabling SEOquake
You can quickly check if SEOquake is enabled by looking at the SEOquake icon in your browser:
- Gray icon – SEOquake is disabled.
- Colorized icon – SEOquake is enabled.
To enable or disable SEOquake:
- Click the SEOquake icon in your browser.
- Open the Panel and click the Settings gear.
- Check or uncheck the Enable SEOquake option.
2. Google CAPTCHA or Ban Issues
Requesting too many parameters too quickly can trigger Google’s CAPTCHA page or result in a temporary ban.
How to Prevent This:
- Click the SEOquake icon, go to Settings, then select Preferences.
- Under Enable Parameters Caching, check “Will cache parameter results until browser restart.”
- Set the Request Delay to 500ms or more to slow down data requests.
- Under Dropdown Panel Configuration, select By Request instead of On Show to fetch parameters only when needed.
3. Strikethrough Links (No-Follow Indicator)
If you see links with a strikethrough, this means they are no-follow links—not a bug.
How to Disable No-Follow Highlighting:
- Click the SEOquake icon.
- Open Settings and uncheck Highlight no-follow links.
4. SEOquake Won’t Open
If SEOquake stops working, it may be due to an outdated version.
How to Fix It:
• Ensure you have the latest version by visiting seoquake.com.
• Check that auto-updates are enabled for browser extensions.
By following these steps, you can keep SEOquake running smoothly and avoid common issues.
